As part of my Light Night Commission (see below) I am running several different creative workshops over the next few weeks. If you are creative, or if you would like to do something different, come along!
How the Light Gets In at Leeds Central Library
What? How the Light Gets In is a creative writing workshop where participants can explore the ways in which words can and cannot lead us through the dark – both the literal dark of the nighttime and the winter months and other, internal and metaphorical forms of darkness. There will be a series of creative exercises, as well as a chance to share ideas and any work produced during the workshop. These workshops will feed into an interactive storytelling installation of the same name at Light Night Leeds, which participants will be encouraged to attend.
When? Tuesday 2 September, 7 – 8 pm and Saturday 6 September, 2.30 – 4pm
Where? Leeds Central Library, Arts Space
Anything Else? Nope. It’s free. Just bring yourself. But if you have any questions, feel free to email me. Meanwhile, get involved in the conversation on twitter!
And the Light Said to the Dark... at NEXUS festival, September 12 – 13. Read more about NEXUS here. More details coming soon!
