Hey! Long time no post.
I’ve been busy – first, trying to get pregnant, then getting pregnant, and finally, over the past year, caring for a baby.
It will come as a surprise to absolutely no one that I have begun to write about it: I have an essay on Motherhood and Mastery (and my hatred of DIY) in the Autumn issue of The Dublin Review.
I have also just started a substack, Read Like a Baby. It’s an anti book review, an experiment in reading and writing differently, an exploration of the chaotic, utopian moments that imaginative literature can release, as inspired by my baby’s chaotic, instinctive and joyfully embodied way of interacting with the world. Posts will be necessarily short and no more than twice a month. Do subscribe if you can bear any more words entering your inbox…
